After a plane crashes in the African jungle, a baby named George (Brendan Fraser) is rescued and raised by a protective primate (voiced by John Cleese). Years later, a wealthy woman (Leslie Mann) on safari decides to ditch her snooty fiancé (Thomas Hayden Church) when she loses him in the jungle -- but she finds love unexpectedly with a grown-up George. Through trial and error, the mismatched pair learns life outside the jungle is no picnic.
