As optically challenged millionaire Mr. Magoo (Leslie Nielsen) bumbles through life desperately in need of spectacles, he finds himself at a museum just as jewel thief Luanne LeSeur (Kelly Lynch) is attempting to steal the Star of Kuristan, a priceless ruby. Through a fateful turn of events, the nearsighted Magoo ends up in possession of the gem -- with thieves and federal officers in hot pursuit.
