Struggling chef Amanda (Sarah Michelle Gellar) just isn't cutting the mustard, but her soufflés begin to improve thanks to a magic crustacean in this love story infused with culinary delights. Smitten upon meeting Tom (Sean Patrick Flanery), Amanda is given a crab from a caring cupid, and her dishes begin to cause a certain magic of their own. Tom, who's opening a restaurant with the aid of Lois (Patricia Clarkson), can't help but take notice.
