In addition to overseeing the Big Apple's boys in blue, New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) constantly tends to the well-being of his impressive progeny, which includes seasoned detective Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), assistant DA Erin (Bridget Moynahan) and rookie cop Jamie (Will Estes). In this drama's first season, Jamie debates whether he should join a secret investigation that even his father doesn't know exists.

The cast show still seems a bit fragmented, like the cuts between different cast don't quite fit - but the cast itself is improving, and working together better.
