Essential Killing
2010
Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski offers a visually stunning examination of one man's will to survive in this tale about suspected terrorist Mohammed (Vincent Gallo), who's captured by U.S. troops in Afghanistan but escapes while being transported to Eastern Europe. Half-starved, pursued and lost in a snowbound wilderness, Mohammed must wrestle with the need to kill in order to survive in this abstract parable also starring Emmanuelle Seigner.
Synopsis compliments of Netflix
The first half was pretty good, but the second half felt extremely long, and unnecessarily strange at times.
