Fugitive John Brennick (Christopher Lambert) is the only person to have escaped the outer space prison the Fortress, but after years in hiding, Brennick is finally discovered. Now, he's been sentenced to life in a new galactic prison -- and this one's supposed to be impossible to escape. That doesn't stop Brennick, who soon starts devising a plan to return to his family on Earth -- 26,000 miles away.
