Following the death of her brother in a car accident, a small-town teenager (Hilary Duff) spends the summer in Los Angeles studying at a performing arts school. Her experience there exposes her to a whole new world and way of life outside the sheltered existence and social circles she's always known. Co-stars John Corbett, Jason Ritter and Rita Wilson.
