There's no telling where Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) will wake up next in this time-bending science-fiction series about a physicist trapped in the past as he "leaps" into the bodies of people who lived within his own lifetime -- and need his help. Sam's travels are disorienting, to say the least. But aid comes in the form of Al (Dean Stockwell), a friend from the future who appears as a hologram and guides him through each strange new scenario.
