Talk-radio pet vet Abby Barnes (Janeane Garofalo) gets in a pickle when smitten caller Brian (Ben Chaplin) asks to meet her, and she lies to him about her looks. Worried that her appearance will put Brian off, the short brunette describes herself as a tall, willowy blonde: the exact picture of her ditsy neighbor, Noelle (Uma Thurman). The panicked Abby persuades Noelle to take her place, and a string of escalating comic calamities ensues.
