Longing for a child, woodcarver Geppetto (Nino Manfredi) lovingly fashions a wooden marionette and names him Pinocchio (Andrea Balestri). When a fairy (Gina Lollobrigida) turns Pinocchio into a real boy, he disregards her advice to be a good son and instead embarks on mischievous adventures.
