High Kick Girl!
2009

Martial arts purists -- not to mention fans of miniskirt-clad, high-kicking karate girls -- will welcome the tightly choreographed fight scenes and slow-motion scuffles in this film about a teenage karate phenom eager to take down her older peers. Real-life fighter par excellence Rina Takeda plays high schooler Kei Tsuchiya, who joins a rival clan when she decides that her longtime karate master (Tatsuya Naka) is holding her back.

Foreign, dubbed. The story is simple, reminiscent of a comic book plot, and the character interaction seems contrived. However, unlike normal Hollywood stunts many of the kicks connect, which is refreshing (And these fights comprise much of the film)
