When a delusional loner (Ryan Gosling) buys a life-size sex doll over the Internet, promptly falls in love with her and starts telling people that the doll is his girlfriend, his brother (Paul Schneider) and sister-in-law (Emily Mortimer) decide it's time to intervene.
