Roberto Benigni stars as Jacques Gambrelli -- the illegitimate son of the bumbling Inspector Clouseau -- who eagerly takes the lead in investigating a kidnapping in the eighth and last entry of writer-director Blake Edwards's classic comedy series. When a terrorist (Robert Davi) abducts Princess Yasmin (Debrah Farentino) of the Lugash royal family, long-suffering Inspector Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) and Gambrelli clumsily save the day.
