Amber (Madonna), a spoiled rich woman, goes on a yachting holiday in the Mediterranean with friends, where she meets a communist sailor, Giuseppe Esposito (Adriano Giannini), who dislikes her bad mood and snooty behavior. When the two of them become stranded on a remote desert island, however, their roles reverse … and the shift of power in their relationship sends them into a wild passion as they fall for each other.
