Janet Evanovich's spunky heroine, Stephanie Plum, is adrift after getting a divorce and losing her job. To make ends meet, she becomes a bounty hunter, with her first big case revolving around a high school boyfriend who may be falsely accused.

Katherine Heigl pulls off a good down-and-out store clerk turned novice bounty hunter. The overall acting is decent, and although the plot isn't anything special it's watchable.
Don't think Heigl will ever be a truly outstanding actress, but this role is perfect for her. A bit on the level of a TV movie, but really captures the flavor of the Evanovich books.
