Bound
1996

Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski made their directorial debut with this neo-noir crime-thriller, in which Gina Gershon stars as an ex-con handywoman who crosses paths with a gangster's moll, Violet (Jennifer Tilly), and likes what she sees. Before you can say, "Unhook my brassiere," the pair decides to filch $2 million and hit the road together -- but Violet's money-laundering beau (Joe Pantoliano) isn't keen on giving up his money or his girl.

The Wachowski Brothers' first film is a competent heist thriller that has some solid acting performances. Its attempts to be sexier than it actually is, sometimes collapsing under its own weight because of it but overall it is worth a watch.
