No Country for Old Men
2007

Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) stumbles upon dead bodies, $2 million and a hoard of heroin in a Texas desert, but methodical killer Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem) comes looking for it, with local sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) hot on his trail. This modern western/thriller is intriguing, but also long and a bit deadpan. Woody Harrelson and Garret Dillahunt are the only upbeat characters in the entire film, and there isn't enough of them to balance out the somber tone of the film.

The best of the "dark" Coen Brothers movies. The strange ending frustrates, but in a good way; a good show ends leaving you wanting more.
