Quite by accident, an engineer builds a machine that can transport the user back in time. But his discovery comes with an ominous caveat: At the heart of this puzzling device, nothing is as it seems on the surface. David Sullivan and Shane Carruth co-star in this Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winner, a film whose inventive narrative blends a patchwork story line with overlapping streams of dialogue that help build tension and suspense.

Full of incomprehensible technobabble, which totally destroys any appeal this movie might have had. The acting is also a bit weak and the script is just plain boring.

Starts off very dry and boring, then kicks off about halfway through. The actors are unknown, which adds a documentary-like feel and almost makes the story seem true.

Very good movie, even if I still don't quite understand it. Presents mystery well, as something complicated, not just something with no explanation. The geekiness of the characters was portrayed very well; these are not screenlit-face hackers.
