Set on planet Caprica decades prior to the war fought in "Battlestar Galactica," this sci-fi series follows the work of tech tycoon Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) as he tries to assuage his grief over tragedy by developing cyborgs he dubs Cylons. As Graystone's plans begin to go off the rails, he clashes with powerful underworld lawyer Joseph Adama (Esai Morales), whose son, Bill, later goes on to command the Galactica.

Slightly better than Battlestar Galactica: Caprica, the pilot movie for this series. Still doesn't share much in common with the Battlestar Galactica series.
