Ender's Game
Orson Scott Card

Liked it as a kid, but now notice problems. Ender is somehow never at fault for the things he does. Still, very memorable world, esp. the low-gee sport scenes.

This is a book in a genre I never normally read, but I found the story intelligent, imaginative, compelling and the characters extremely well-drawn. Some authors are exquisite story tellers, and many are not. Card is!

One of the best science fiction books I've read.
