The story is interesting but the writing seems raw and unedited, lacking a good visual description of the multitude of characters, and overly detailed about other more trivial elements. The Game of Thrones TV show is worth a look though.

A better plot flow than Shadow of the Hegemon and much more interesting than Shadow Puppets, this is my third favorite book in the Ender series.

Overly verbose in parts, with a story that is fairly pedestrian compared to the rest of the Ender and Shadow series. Not terrible, but not a book I would recommend either.

A good story, though a bit more uneven than others in the Ender series - lots of politics and negotiation in the beginning and battles in the end. A decent but steep arc probably more suited to an action film.

Well written with a completely different voice than Ender's Game, though half of it is the same story from another perspective. Following Bean gives it a different flavor - it doesn't feel like a rehash of the same material

Wedged in the timeline between Ender's Game and Xenocide this is very much a book about the characters. A bit slow, especially if you've already read Xenocide- explaining in detail minor events alluded to in the other books, but still well written

This isn't really even a complete book - maybe 100 pages worth of properly sized/spaced text, 25% of which is worth reading. Felt a bit like the cruft culled from Ender's Game during the editing process.

This is really the second half of the story that Xenocide left hanging. In many respects it is the same book, though the Chinese storyline has finally merged with the main plot and seems more cohesive.

Like Speaker for the Dead this is a very character heavy book with lots of turmoil. The new Chinese characters seem a bit extraneous and self-indulgent, especially during the first half of the book - interrupting the flow of the story

Completely different from Ender's Game, this book has a much looser plot and a lot more character drama. Still an enjoyable read though.

Another adventure classic that I loved as a kid. Fantastic atmosphere and all written before submarines too!

Great book, especially for kids with vivid imaginations. I loved the Disney movie of the same name when I was younger too.

Fascinating story about computers and hackers before the Internet as we know it.

A thoroughly entertaining read about the KGB. I think it is non-fiction, though I'm not positive.

Quite a bit different from Blood and Chocolate, the movie, but both are good in their own way.
