This seemed like two different movies - the first half as a comedy, the second as a romance. Unfortunately it somewhat succeeded in the first aspect and completely failed at the second. The cast was good but Jeff Daniels acting was a bit off.

The acting on this is actually quite good - though the movie itself won't be interesting unless you expect to watch a history film.

After seeing Firefly I had high hopes for this series, but the first season turned out to be rather cold and uninspired. The second season it seems to have become a bit more interesting, based on the season finale episode.

The Mentalist is an example of what this show could have been if they had competent writers.

With so many psychic shows on TV - a show where the guy is just really smart is a nice change of pace. Like Psych but with sarcastic wit instead of silliness. The transition between season 3 and 4 is a bit disappointing

Drugs, sex, rock & roll, and of course - pirate radio. This movie takes you straight back to the 60's, rock on. There were a couple parts that felt slightly out of place, but overall this movie was epic.

The special effects are horrible, and the acting is so-so, but the show is actually endearing in a somewhat campy way. It's more mythology than science fiction.

Acting isn't great, and the special effects are subpar too, but the show is fun sci-fi anyway.

Unfortunate that Richard Grant is such a frantic actor, ruins what could be a pretty funny movie.

Pretty much anyone would have been better than Freddie Prinze Jr. for this role - unfortunately he single-handedly tanked this movie, even though the rest of the cast was decent.
