A delight from start to finish. Casting is perfect! Compelling story and true-to-life characters you wish you really knew. Loved every minute.

Very pleasantly surprised by this simple family movie. Carrey can be phenomenal or just plain annoying, but his performance works well here. Wouldn't be the same without the adorable penguins, but was better than I expected.

Recently read this as part of a book club and was very pleasantly surprised, as I never select reading material from the science fiction genre. Excellent plot, and the characters were well drawn. Looking forward to reading the sequel.

Major star power and an entertaining storyline make for an entertaining romp. Nothing to write home about, but not a waste of time either!

Too much teenage angst for me. Some portions acted very well, other parts poorly. Enjoyed LaPaglia's devotion to the kids and Cochrane's deadpan but mesmerizing delivery best.

Just finally read the book and re-watched the movie--better than the book! Wonderful cast and a satisfying adaptation. Streep's complex Miranda Priestly is perfection.

Never seen a movie so 100% perfectly cast. Total immersion into the '70's rock world. Hudson mixes flashes of the innocent and wistful with worldly abandon, and the band and kid are spot on. Even the music composed for the film feels authentic.

Unfortunately, although I was drawn to the story line, I was not drawn to the actors' portrayals of the characters in this film, so it fell a little flat for me. Seemed more like a made-for-TV movie--just a bit too contrived. Worth watching though.

Plenty of action, and Tucci and Jones are stand-outs, but the other characters seemed to remain somewhat one-dimensional to me--lacking the panache of Downey Jr. in Iron Man, for instance.

Not a Vaughn fan, although liked him well enough when mixed heavily with Kevin James. The plot was interesting, the dilemma a good one. James excels in situations involving pathos as well as comedy. Channing Tatum's supporting role was hilarious.

Only my 2nd Eastwood movie (other was Firefox). Found myself drawn to the crusty old guy character with the heart of a hero. Classic tough-guy Eastwood, but a sweet story hidden in amongst the grittiness.

Fun for kids and adults alike--great animation with a festive setting and decent enough plot.

Despite my low rating, enjoyed this movie as a step back in time to girlhood. Younger girls will love it--Gomez is always fascinating to watch, and the romantic capers and setting are pure fun. Fluffy, light, breezy.

Enjoyed Goodwin and Krasinski, Hudson grated on the nerves, and Egglesfield added a handsome face. A bit uneven, but overall not a bad escape movie.

A good movie, especially geared toward the older set. Not a lot of action, but Tom Hanks delivers. Not a Roberts fan, but enjoyed the simple story despite that.
