Not great, but I found it worth watching. Made more interesting by being a true story involving the mysterious Howard Hughes. Gere does 'just okay', but Molina's acting was not at all believable for me. Movie had more potential than it provided.

Very slow-paced documentary but well worth watching until the very end for lovers of writing and books. Picks up a bit after Part I and rewards those who hang in there. Lots of precious nuggets.

Provides a good, non-fad answer to "what should we humans actually be eating?" Thick and scholarly but very readable. Taubes examines a gamut of nutritional studies and draws conclusions he did not expect to reach when he began his research.

An oldie but goodie--Diane Keaton is at her most entertaining in this film. Funny, sweet, romantic--one you can re-watch and re-enjoy from time to time.

If you are intimidated by cancer, this book will inspire you to realize you've got a fighting chance. Featured doctors are curing or restraining cancer. Also what we all can do to lessen our chances of getting it. Well worth reading.

Always looking for a new mystery series, and these are for the most part quite good. Set in various national parks (this one in Natchez Trace), the characters are engaging, and tough, smart heroine Anna Pigeon outsmarts the bad guys every time.

A book for anyone tired of over-processed, chemical laden American life. Somers interviews cutting-edge doctors around the country who believe in optimal health through natural means and innovative therapies. The quack-meter approaches zero for me.

Audrey Hepburn is mesmerizing and gorgeous in this 1960s film about a wounded and vulnerable soul living an apparently uncaring, devil-may-care life. A genuine, must-see classic.

As you would expect, silly, silly, silly. Kid-level humor all the way, although the second half improves and The Rock is always somehow believable. VERY light entertainment, but doable with your favorite kid.

So far, so good after 3 episodes. Good acting, without over-acting, from all all three main characters--they play off each other humorously. Fairly believable story lines and fun plots. Good clean fun.

Against common belief, the author finds that uncommon ability is not due to innate talent, but good old-fashioned hard work over enough time. Gives me hope that, if I want to master something, I have the choice (within reason). Well written.

One of my favorite classics with swashbuckling heroes who capture your fancy and have adventures that fill the imagination. The camaraderie, loyalty and spirit of the musketeers is contagious. No movie has ever truly captured the spirit of the book.

A revelation of comfort to all who enjoy solitude--we are not broken and, in fact, have quite a few advantages! A must-read for those who have felt misunderstood and out of the mainstream of life.

One of the most beautiful and touching films I've EVER seen--offers a piercing portrayal of the devastation of prostitution in India without ever sinking into any kind of gratuitousness. Stunning photography, first-rate acting, plus some nice songs.

Harder to kick than heroin, so be sure you want to commit before you watch. For me, the stories behind competitors and their personalities are more compelling than the music. Wouldn't be worth watching without Simon Cowell's caustic remarks.
