Al Pacino had some great moments in this film, and did an excellent job. That said, I didn't particularly enjoy watching it - not a 'fun film'.

Cybill Shepherd and Robert Downey Jr. play great together, making parts of this fun to watch. Unfortunately the beginning and end are rather goofy, but overall it turns out to be an alright film.

Foreign with subtitles. Similar premise as District 9, without the aliens and with much better characters. The plot is thin but acceptable, serving merely as a platform for a face-paced action flick. Lots of parkour and hand to hand combat.

Dismal film with great production values and acting. The end of this movie would have been a good starting point for an excellent film. Unfortunately almost nothing happened during the first half, resulting in a short story worth of actual content.

Classic jock and geeky girl tale, though Rachael Leigh Cook was a good choice for the role so it's slightly better than average. Aside from that it's a fairly pedestrian teen movie.

Half English, half French with subtitles. A character film with a strong indie vibe. Lots of sarcastic but amusing dialog following a wandering tale of two people in Paris. The first few minutes are atrocious, but once you get past that it's fine.

Not a bad sci-fi flick - more realistic than some, though a bit less exciting in general because of that. CGI was excellent considering when this movie was made.

The production values were pretty good, but this still felt like a B quality movie. The film seemed like it was following a series of loosely connected events, until the end when they are sort of tied together. Something missing in the story.

Totally unconvincing dialog, with acting so bad it's laughable. Whoever cast Eliza Dushku, Macaulay Culkin, and Kuno Becker in a film supposedly involving romance and emotion should never be allowed to make another movie ever again.

The main character's dialog seems unrealistically pretentious, and the story takes a few minutes to get going. The premise is interesting but predictable, though there are a few surprises along the way.

Foreign with subtitles. Interesting story with a vaguely GoldenEye flavor. By the middle of the film the end was obvious, but it was still fun to watch and well acted/directed. Plenty of action scenes, but there is an equal balance of drama as well

A bit long in the beginning, with a few plot items that don't make sense. Some good scenes once it gets going, with an entertaining ending. The Craft is a better choice in this genre.

Christian Slater was convincingly psychotic, but half the time Elisha Cuthbert sounded like she was reading her lines. Drama with a bit of dark comedy and Office Space mixed in. Disappointing ending.

Slow and pensive, but well filmed. A good drama about drug cartels and prostitution.

Potentially a good story, ruined by poor filming, acting, and plenty of voice-overs explaining the story instead of showing it visually. Usually I can write off a few mistakes as 'indie' but this film has too many flaws to get a free pass.
