A little slow in parts with lots of 21-year-old angst, but ultimately rings true and has a surprise ending. Not a romantic comedy as I expected, but a romantic drama that is very poignant in parts.

Much like the classic Law & Order, though from the court side mostly - and slightly less exciting.

Well written with a completely different voice than Ender's Game, though half of it is the same story from another perspective. Following Bean gives it a different flavor - it doesn't feel like a rehash of the same material

In a lot of bad ways this reminds me of Lost - unbelievable story, far too much jumping around the timeline, and just a general frantic vibe. Passable enough to watch if nothing else is on - but not good.

A story of survival that also has the audience caught up in the brutality of gang warfare.Parts are like a docudrama as we witness the bleak, sad existence of those trying to cross the border from Mexico.Riveting.

A very low key sci-fi. Not very exciting but decent acting and a passable, though simple, plot. They also get credit for not trying to hide or obscure the aliens. The story would have been much the same replacing aliens with a normal war zone.

Wedged in the timeline between Ender's Game and Xenocide this is very much a book about the characters. A bit slow, especially if you've already read Xenocide- explaining in detail minor events alluded to in the other books, but still well written

A great cast, decent acting, and good story - but a few scenes are much too long, and really drag the story. If this had been 90 minutes instead of 120 it would have been much better.

Odd,quirky, and ultimately enjoyable. You're never sure where the story line will end up--pleasantly, it's not a sappy story nor is it one full of disillusionment. Excellent casting, even in the minor roles.

As much as I don't like Tom Cruise this was a pretty solid action comedy. Cameron Diaz managed to pull off decent chemistry with him, and the flow of the film kept things entertaining throughout.

This is really the second half of the story that Xenocide left hanging. In many respects it is the same book, though the Chinese storyline has finally merged with the main plot and seems more cohesive.

Asylum has all the makings of a solid horror film, cute girls, a creepy locale and a legitimately scary antagonist. Unfortunately Asylum does not evoke any scares unless you are horrified of boredom and in this case case you may die from it.

They didn't even bother with a legitimate storyline in this film - it felt more like watching someone play a video game, only less entertaining. This series is steadily going downhill as they leave each movie open for a sequel.

Like Speaker for the Dead this is a very character heavy book with lots of turmoil. The new Chinese characters seem a bit extraneous and self-indulgent, especially during the first half of the book - interrupting the flow of the story

An unexpectedly tense, yet mostly uneventful historical drama. It felt more like the story of an abused wife than a powerful and intelligent woman.
