Odd,quirky, and ultimately enjoyable. You're never sure where the story line will end up--pleasantly, it's not a sappy story nor is it one full of disillusionment. Excellent casting, even in the minor roles.

As much as I don't like Tom Cruise this was a pretty solid action comedy. Cameron Diaz managed to pull off decent chemistry with him, and the flow of the film kept things entertaining throughout.

This is really the second half of the story that Xenocide left hanging. In many respects it is the same book, though the Chinese storyline has finally merged with the main plot and seems more cohesive.

Asylum has all the makings of a solid horror film, cute girls, a creepy locale and a legitimately scary antagonist. Unfortunately Asylum does not evoke any scares unless you are horrified of boredom and in this case case you may die from it.

They didn't even bother with a legitimate storyline in this film - it felt more like watching someone play a video game, only less entertaining. This series is steadily going downhill as they leave each movie open for a sequel.

Like Speaker for the Dead this is a very character heavy book with lots of turmoil. The new Chinese characters seem a bit extraneous and self-indulgent, especially during the first half of the book - interrupting the flow of the story

An unexpectedly tense, yet mostly uneventful historical drama. It felt more like the story of an abused wife than a powerful and intelligent woman.

Really liked this film--wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Simple but sweet story that takes you back to a more innocent time of life. Acting is superb by all and the characters really draw you into their world--feels like family.

The Civil War storyline is no fun to play, the camera control makes it hard to see enemies and the game has a wonky difficulty curve. All in all this sequel to the fan favorite Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is worse in nearly every way except graphics.

A gritty realistic Canadian TV drama about organized crime. Surely a bit more fantastic than real life, but comes off far more legitimate than American cop shows. The first season is excellent, the second is still pretty good.

Train is a bleak film in the vein of Hostel and Turistas. It is derivative in nearly every single way until the film flips on its heel and turns on the crazy in the last act. Unfortunately it is just not worth watching up to that point.

Filmed beautifully, with passable acting. This thriller is paced a bit oddly, with a number of long musical interludes and a frantic ending. The conclusion makes the whole film totally worth watching though.

A poorly put together action film that does just about everything wrong. It does however offer plenty of unintentional laughs due to the atrocious acting of pro wrestler Rob VanDam and just about everyone else in this film.

A great cast bring this story to life. Possibly a bit too long, and obviously not a happy story, but still an interesting film.

A couple songs demonstrate their potential to produce decent music, but many of the tracks devolve into harsh screaming and guitar riffs, unlike the skillful screams of stars like Aerosmith
