Not as engaging as other fantasy series like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone as a film - this is much better in book form.

Good acting as you would expect from this caliber of cast. Entirely a character drama, but the script and acting keeps it interesting.

Brooke Nevin and Jimmi Simpson are great, but replacing Nicole Steinwedell with Serinda Swan after one episode was a mistake as well as an odd script choice. The cast is slowly getting better each episode.

Foreign with Subtitles. Reminds me of a 20th century Lara Croft. Thoroughly entertaining, but the police scenes were The Pink Panther quality bumbling, and not quite as funny as intended. Hopefully they'll make more in the series.

This had potential to be suspenseful in the beginning, but then the terrible gunfights began. Unlimited ammo, trading shots and never hitting anything for minutes on end. The priest/church part of the story was an unnecessary plot device as well.

Good casting, especially Vera Farmiga - she was perfect for that role. The ending could have been a bit more shocking/artistic if they had just cut it off, but it probably wouldn't have played as well with audiences.

More action than your typical lawyer film. Good cast and decent script - a bit predictable in parts but still entertaining to watch.

A well known cast but the acting isn't engaging aside from Eva Green and Claire Forlani. Even Eva overplays her role a bit, but in an amusingly villainous manner. The story seems pretty solid until they destroy the cast at the end of the first season

My least favorite movie so far - it seems like half the film is spent with Harry, Ron, and Hermione loitering around tents in random forests. It was also much less eventful and more melancholy than any of the previous films. Open ended, obviously.

Opening with gratuitous, unrelated harassment of muggles - this film was okay, but felt simple compared to previous titles. A lot of time was spent on love/"growing up" storyline, catering to a teen audience. Like Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, left very open-ended

This has more highs and lows than any of the previous films, story wise. The whole fighting bureaucracy angle is sort of annoying. This is the first Harry Potter film that hasn't felt like a complete story - more like the first in a trilogy

The best of Harry Potter so far - plenty of adventure, magic and action - it really feels like the series is hitting its stride.

Gary Oldman and David Thewlis really didn't add much to this film, and their fights were rather bland. The story was cohesive with a good amount of magic though.

Better acting and story than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The ending wasn't quite as good, and the house troll was a bit annoying in a Jar-Jar Binks sort of way.

Linear and simple, and the kids are clearly new as actors, but it's good enough to keep the film entertaining
