This is one of the best roles I've seen Gwyneth Paltrow play. It manages to be about hopes and fears, touching on feelings while still telling a cohesive story. The script is good, all the characters are great - a really good drama.

Filmed and acted well, but the plot - while pretending to be mysterious - is very straightforward. The ending is consequently rather anticlimactic, and the film ends up seeming rather long for the content.

One of Bill Murray's better films - a genuinely amusing classic. Andie MacDowell is a bit stiff in the beginning, but she gets better as it goes on.

Interesting story line, worth a look. Slow moving with a Sin City vibe. The opening credits/scenes are the worst, and it gets progressively better from there. The camera work was good, but the film still had a rough/indie feel about it.

Nathan Fillion manages to be funny, but I don't know who wrote this dialog - it's a disaster. Andy Griffith was actually sort of amusing, I didn't know he was still acting.

This film doesn't carry the gritty realism of the original. It's half The Boondock Saints, half Smokin' Aces. The ending is clearly set up for a third movie.

Willem Dafoe cross-dressing is a little weird, but on the other hand it's nice to see 'heroes' in a movie that aren't super human.

Not a big fan of singing on TV - seems odd to put an auditory competition on a primarily visual medium. It should get some credit for transforming TV a little bit though, for better or worse.

The dialog with Vera Farmiga is laughably bad in the beginning. The good part is the voiceovers done by George Clooney, and his interaction with Anna Kendrick (who was good except for her pathetic attempt at crying).

Natalie Portman went from extremes in precociousness in the beginning to a sniveling mess at the end. Scarlett Johansson spent most of the film moping around rather unemotionally. Kristin Scott Thomas was the only one who lived up to her role.

A decent historical drama involving Genghis Khan. Spots of action here and there, but he sure did spend a lot of the movie running away from people and/or trying to get back home.

Straight up action nearly 100% of the time. If you make an action movie, this is how it should be done, and props to John Travolta for his excellent performance.

Good cast and a slightly corny but cute story. They really should have done a better job with Elisha Cuthbert's outfit and/or hair - she looked like a funeral director for half the movie.

Mel Gibson isn't great, but he does a passable job. The plot is decent, though obvious if you've seen the trailer. Unfortunately they had to use seeing dead people as a plot device, which could have been avoided by competent acting and a good script.

The cast was excellent except for Alexandra Daddario and Uma Thurman, and the movie itself was far better than I expected - a fun teen retelling of Greek mythology. The soundtrack was pretty good as well.
