Great PBS series--six hours of history, so best taken in small batches, but Burns makes the Prohibition era come alive. Don't ever remember learning this stuff in school.

This show had me cringing, not laughing. The overblown sarcasm of Suburgatory just highlights the awkward attempts of this sitcom to make the uncool parent stereotype seem funny again.

Went in expecting silly but got hilarious. Have seen it twice already. Everybody's character worked and the synergy was excellent, the story was very fun, and I just loved every minute.

Most of the film the Thing is merely a bogeyman, not an organism fighting for survival like the original. It's a passable horror prequel - the opening scene is cheap and melodramatic, and the malfunctioning flamethrower is a rip-off of the original.

A game for people who want to pretend to be hackers. Unfortunately this is only slightly more authentic than Hollywood movie representations of hacking.

A decent sci-fi horror, with a bit of suspense. The plot and acting are all solid, though the last 30 minutes are a bit too predictable.

An Indiana Jones-inspired point and click adventure game that drags the genre forward. Innovative systems eliminate the standard "point and pray" mechanic without feeling cheap. Awesome voice acting and plot.

A refined and refreshing entry into the long-running franchise. Skyward Sword streamlines many of the series' traditions while simultaneously introducing novel yet fleshed-out motion-based controls. Shows what Nintendo wanted out of Wii all along.

Slightly dated graphics, but quite fun. A successful combination of World of Warcraft and Team Fortress 2, with a lot of thoughtful features. There are some bugs and oddities, but overall a free-to-play game that feels complete without paying for upgrades.

Mysle, ze nie dla wszystkich, jak ktos spodziewa sie filmu akcji to sie zawiedzie. Chwilami nudny, ale bardzo klimatyczny ze wspanialymi ujeciami poscigow.

A fun FPS MMO that's free to play. Several game modes, and you work to unlock stats, weapons, and more. There are quests you can go on, and you can do them coop or solo. It's a fun game and it's worth a download.

The beginning is solid but Olivia Wilde steals the show in the last third of the film with a fantastic performance. The rest of the cast is good as well, and it makes for a decent character drama with a dash of action.

Difficult, but fair. When you die in Demon's Souls you know it's your fault, and not a cheap gimmick. Fosters a sense of place in a desolate world, and rewards mastery in a way that few modern games dare to do any more. Challenge yourself!

Fun, humorous, and frantic. Almost too much so; there are so many explosions and elemental effects everywhere that it's easy to get lost. Made up for by the responsiveness of the controls and the variety of spells. Best played with friends.

The casting system is reasonably intuitive, and the gameplay itself is as fun as Torchlight, though the heavy corridor feel of the levels detracts a bit. There is a smattering of story and humor throughout, but I wouldn't call it story-driven.
