The first (US) entry in my favorite puzzle game series, Panel de Pon. Game is rather too cutesy, but that belies a lot of depth and many different strong modes.
The central puzzle mechanic is alright, but it's all made as un-fun as possible through the addition of annoying RPG grinding mechanics. Bleh.
Sets its scene masterfully, telling a story with almost no dialogue. Great music and graphical design, great exploration-based design. Pinnacle of the series.
Fairly clever platformer that unfortunately becomes punishingly cheap about halfway through. Appreciate the level designs, but it's not really worth playing.
My favorite Pixar movie. Great visual design, especially in the silent first 30 minutes. Full of fun nerdy references too; made my little coder heart jump.
Gets the humor right, but the actual gameplay is cheap and doesn't work especially well. Really disliked the pixel-picky grappling mechanism.
Very fun! It's amazing how far the pushed the N64 to get so many vehicles displayed at once, though at the cost of level graphics. Lots of cars & tracks.
Really creative levels, lots of challenge but always with the promise of being able to overcome eventually. Has a frankly silly amount of goodies to unlock!
One of the first games I really got into as a kid, very clever use of Mode 7. Catchy soundtrack and reliable controls make this a classic of the system.
Good graphics, whip concept is very cool. However, lack of mid-game saving and poor dodging capability make this more frustrating than fun.
I know this game has depth, but I was never able to get into it; combo controls are too fiddly. I prefer fighting games with fewer moves, more mobility.
I liked this game for its innovative graphical style, memorable music, and fun rideable animals. However, needed true co-op, and many of the levels over-cheap.
Very good co-op mechanism, and one of the more enjoyable games bearing the RPG moniker. I just wish it were even less RPG-y and more action-game-y.
Am I the only one who remembers this game? Merges the concepts of weapons and racing far better than Mario Kart did, though Kart did have stronger tracks.
Wonderful mechanics emphasizing thoughtful gameplay, and good movie-style storytelling for the tools it had available. Level design strong at start, weak later.
