So.... long... and poorly paced too. I honestly can't remember more than a few minutes of this movie.
The most dramatically effective of the three LoTR movies. But it dragged on and on and on... They could've ended it after the ring-tossing scene, but no...
Kind of on the cheesy side, but it worked for me. An interesting biographically-scaled story; Forrest Gump meets Troy? Eh, anyways, I liked it.
Now *this* is a movie that knows how to do suspense. It's on the long side, but every minute is important. The ending in particular was really effective.
Pretty darn good; wasn't expecting Eastwood to be such a strong director! Swank is truly amazing. But: argh, someone please give Freeman a *leading* role!
Very well written and insightful in Sedaris' usual style... but geez, way more depressing than I was expecting after Me Talk Pretty One Day.
Really good, captured the spirit of the comics in every little moment. Not quite as good as the books, but still a great adaptation with its own little gems.
Funny and original, has an "indie" vibe which may turn some off, but I feel this film has earned it. Ending successfully walks line between cringe and hilarity.
A movie that's sadly often underrated for being too popular. Manages a good blend of different comedic and dramatic elements. Changes up a lot, well paced.
Played this often as a kid with my friends after school. It was the Smash Bros from before there was Smash Bros. Camping was a little too effective.
Fun concept, but more than a little repetitive. I'm disappointed in such simple defense games after playing Lock's Quest.
Outstripped its already incredible spiritual prequel, Goldeneye 007. Highly innovative weapons and objectives still showing up in games today. Framerate probs.
A solid and unusual war movie. I liked how it captured the insanity of war without actually showing the main characters firing a single shot.
Oh man, could watch this movie over and over. Surreal and gritty in the best sense. Kind of a nearer-future Blade Runner in mood.
One of my favorite book adaptations. Diverges from the book just as much as it needs to; shows its own sense of style. Stunning direction and photography.
