Maggie Q is always amusing. Season 1 is a clear rip-off of La Femme Nikita/Point of No Return and LFN is a complete and well done film - makes the show feel a bit cheap in comparison; they should have picked a new name. Season 2 is more unique and interesting

An unexpectedly tense, yet mostly uneventful historical drama. It felt more like the story of an abused wife than a powerful and intelligent woman.

A gritty realistic Canadian TV drama about organized crime. Surely a bit more fantastic than real life, but comes off far more legitimate than American cop shows. The first season is excellent, the second is still pretty good.

Filmed beautifully, with passable acting. This thriller is paced a bit oddly, with a number of long musical interludes and a frantic ending. The conclusion makes the whole film totally worth watching though.

A great cast bring this story to life. Possibly a bit too long, and obviously not a happy story, but still an interesting film.

Super predictable. Amanda Seyfried is good as usual, but her 'fiancee' Gael Bernal was blatantly annoying, and the rest of the cast is just passable. Additionally, the musical score was terrible - with a bunch of trite pop love songs loudly inserted.

A vaguely entertaining show about a mother who gets cancer and starts cutting loose and acting a little crazy. It's a pretty basic drama with no surprises - and not much to really draw you in or keep you watching. The acting is fine, I guess.

Vaguely reminiscent of Women's Murder Club, with a smaller, quirkier main cast. This cop show seems targeted to women, and isn't great, but Sasha Alexander is hilarious and plays her character well.

A decently acted, though a bit drawn out story. There are enough twists to keep it somewhat interesting though. Probably the best acting I've seen from Gemma Arterton - far better than Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time or Clash of the Titans

With the excellent characters they really didn't need to clutter up the movie with a number of pseudo-slapstick scenes, it probably would have been more amusing if it had been more subtle. Still, it ended up being decent, and the acting was okay

The beginning of this film had potential, mixing a thriller with a teen horror - but it devolved into a confused mess of blood and breasts. Bad story pacing made the movie go from lake placid to blood bath in seconds, two-thirds of the way through.

Not bad, but just another one of many 'wrong place, wrong time' action movies that pit an unlikely protagonist against a much more powerful foe.

A neon-colored space comedy, not the sci-fi adventure I was expecting. Felt most similar to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. If you like B-movies this would probably be an enjoyable pick.

This movie felt appropriately surreal. Michael Cera delivered a decent performance, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead made detached apathy seem charming. Unfortunately, the ending seemed too sweet and common - didn't fit with the rest of the film.

Slightly reminiscent of Alias - but more realistic and without the sci-fi elements. The main cast is fairly good - Peter Gallagher is one of the weaker characters - and the episodes are varied enough to stay interesting.
