An excellent sci-fi series, akin to Farscape in feel, but with better acting and CGI. This series is far better than the more recent Stargate: Universe franchise reboot. However, cast changes make season 4 & 5 seem sullen and fatigued.

This feels more like a lightweight Bond film, it doesn't hold a candle to The Avengers with Diana Rigg. The opening scene is just silly, and Mother/Father don't feel right, not to mention a good bit of awkward romance.

An older, but still entertaining, thriller with Sean Connery at the helm. Some good twists throughout the movie keep it interesting. Connery's acting gives this a similar vibe to The Next Man but the plot flows much better in this film.

Casey Affleck is fantastic as a cold killer in this retro film - but Jessica Alba gives a performance worthy of Megan Fox. Kate Hudson and Simon Baker aren't great either. The story is solid and engaging, though graphically violent in parts.

This modern western/thriller is intriguing, but also long and a bit deadpan. Woody Harrelson and Garret Dillahunt are the only upbeat characters in the entire film, and there isn't enough of them to balance out the somber tone of the film.

This film tried to follow too many characters, and ended up seeming chaotic compared to other movies like Gone in 60 Seconds. Vaguely entertaining, but would have been much better with a competent actor to replace David Arquette.

Each of the characters are amusing at times, but the film seems a bit fragmented because there are so many stars - doesn't garner empathy for the characters. The action also seems a bit hollow, no tension or twists involved.

Cate Blanchett is intriguing in this gritty drama about the political battles surrounding Queen Elizabeth. The very end did seem like a psychotic break from the rest of the film though - without any interlude or explanation.

Fun to see the teen's reactions. This documentary was unusually fair, balancing not portraying secular people as immoral and refraining from painting the Amish lifestyle as odd, eccentric, or closed-minded.

Better than expected - a decent video game adaption with a solid story. Olga Kurylenko basically just serves as eye candy and slight comic relief, but manages to fit well into the film instead of being a distraction.

A brutal historical fiction - not a supernatural adventure as the trailer implied. Revolving around the inquisition and black death this violent and hopeless film has an open - but soul crushing - ending.

The only movie I've seen where I fully enjoyed Brendan Fraser's performance. This film has plenty of magic and adventure, though toward the end it lost direction for a short while - with a number of characters leaving and returning. Overall, very fun

Charming in its own way, I kept expecting this unconventional western comedy to have a surprise twist like Purgatory. Unfortunately it didn't, so the story seemed a bit slow with a merely passable conclusion. The cast was still entertaining though.

This film seems like they took three average movies (suicide, romance, torture) and spliced them together into an incoherent mess. The humor is cheesy instead of funny - Severance is a much better choice for a comedy horror film.

The acting is pretty bad, but if you think of this as a kids movie it succeeds in being fairly entertaining. The title is a bit misleading though - it's based in Jules Verne's world but it isn't a retelling of his book.
