Half suspense/drama, half slasher flick; the killing manages to be boring for the most part - but a nice twist toward the end redeems the film somewhat. Most of the plot is fairly standard, but the acting was decent, so overall it is watchable.

A star cast, so the acting was decent and the concept was interesting. That said, it ultimately felt like the movie was trying to sell me stuff, rather than telling a story about sales. The ending seemed a bit cliche too, kind of appropriate.

While the acting is decent and it has plenty of action for a thriller - it is also obvious half way through the film how it will end. This pushes the movie more into the spy action category, and From Paris with Love did a much better job in that genre

A passable romance. The acting wasn't great, but the film would have been far better if much of the first half had been cut, and the dying mother element minimized.

Resembles Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball a bit, with more comedy and a better cast. Unfortunately the action wasn't nearly as exciting as it could have been, and the ending was predictable and anticlimactic

The same upbeat feel as The Breakfast Club, but with the small cast it tends to rely more on Jennifer Connelly's looks than character development. Still has a number of fun scenes though

Nicolas Cage delivers one of his worst performances in this film, not even Tommy Lee Jones can rescue it with his gruff performance. An acceptable plot with action sequences that run a bit long.

A solid drama with some comedy thrown in. Hectic in a pleasantly surprising way, with several scenes that could have taken a cliche turn, but the story went unexpected directions instead.

The religious overtones might be off-putting to some people, and it isn't super exciting. It does manage to be somewhat intriguing though, the main flaw being how abruptly each of the three stories start - rather than being woven together.

Michael Caine is an excellent actor but Emily Mortimer really rescued the film - without her it would have been a very dreary tale. A bit on the slow side, though with a good ending.

Like The Silence of the Lambs, this film reverts to an uncompelling killer, with Hopkins in a marginal role. Edward Norton is great as usual, but his performance couldn't rescue this film.

Slow start, but in the end this film got everything right that The Silence of the Lambs did wrong. Julianne Moore is much better than Foster was, Lecter is a great villain - and the end features one of the creepiest scenes in cinema.

Anthony Hopkins is fantastic as Hannibal Lecter, but the other serial killer is more odd than scary. Combine this with Jodie Foster's trepidatious performance and the film isn't nearly as compelling as it could have been

Samuel L. Jackson has some hilarious monologues in this film, but there is also some terrible acting and dialog as well. If you enjoy B-movies it's well worth a watch though. The plot is fairly generic and Geena Davis is completely inconsistent.

A classic - campy and totally unrealistic but still an entertaining ride with a decent cast. Very much an over-the-top 90's teen movie.
