The concept of this show is neat - a community of supernatural creatures - but the execution early in the season makes it seem like a cross between Desperate Housewives and Twilight - more of a soap opera than a real fantasy show.

An intriguing premise and group of characters make this film worth watching, though the crazy grandmother made me roll my eyes. The film was also a bit slow in the middle, with an anticlimactic ending.

The cool sci-fi film that launched a massive franchise of movies and TV shows. The natives are similar to other films, but it has enough neat inventions to set it apart from the rest. The acting is just passable, helmed by a stone-faced Kurt Russell.

Probably exciting back when it was produced, but the stop motion and action plot haven't held up well with time. Now it feels like a rather bland cyborg cop film.

Filmed well, but Edward Norton felt like the only really charismatic actor in the cast - Jessica Biel in particular seemed weak. The plot was rather slow and subdued, making The Prestige a much more enjoyable and interesting film choice.

James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie were excellent together while Morgan Freeman was solid, but not great. The second half was a bit slower, but the fun action sequences in the first half totally compensated.

Lots of details and twists to the plot, making it feel more like a book than a standard film. While interesting with a good cast - definitely not a happy film, and certainly a bit strange.

With the massive amounts of decent CGI this seemed more like a TV movie - I enjoyed Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief far more than this film. Gemma Arterton doesn't overact like in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, but almost ends up being too quiet.

In the beginning Katherine Heigl is pretty funny in her quirky way, though Ashton Kutcher has a few awkward lines. After a while it got really slow, and then transformed into a silly Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball scenario with a predictable ending.

Robert Redford delivers an interesting performance in this lazily enjoyable adventure film. The dialog isn't great, but luckily there isn't much of it in this mountain man story.

The plot is okay, though not exactly clever or interesting - but even the best plot couldn't save this film from the terrible acting.

A great cast led by Colin Farrell makes this action western supremely entertaining. What it lacks in historical accuracy it totally makes up for in fun.

Tricia Helfer was great, but Leelee Sobieski totally tanked this movie. Her acting was consistently disconnected from whatever was happening in the scene. Aside from that the initial story set-up was a little dry.

One of the most fun roles I've seen Clint Eastwood play - Charlie Sheen works well with him and they have a good rapport. Some of the supporting actors were terrible, and the second half seemed really long - with an out-of-place sex scene thrown in.

A little too intense to be a kids movie, and not light enough to be truly enjoyable. The story returns to reality too frequently - unlike The Neverending Story, with which it shares some similarity. The CGI is weak/passable - but the cast is good.
