One of the sillier Bond films - but Jonathan Pryce really commits to the role and makes it thoroughly entertaining.

Pierce Brosnan has the spark of a good Bond, and does a great job with the action hero aspect. Judi Dench is a great addition as the new M, and Famke Janssen was entertaining but overacted a lot. The tank chase seemed long, but overall a solid film

This reminds me heavily of The Bachelorette, but a bit more immature. The girl seems really young and naive - and the guys take city vs country far too seriously in a frat boy level of maturity.

Like in Live and Let Die, Bond is once more a glorified DEA agent. Plenty of action but not substance.

Timothy Dalton is a decent bond - though he lacks the warmth of Connery or Moore. The film was a bit long, but had plenty of spy antics and a solid Bond feel.

Christopher Walken is an amusing villain, and Tanya Roberts is a decent Bond girl (except when she screams) - unfortunately Grace Jones is an awkward casting choice. The horse racing subplot is completely unnecessary except to reveal Walken's lineage

Much like Live and Let Die without the good cast. It feels cheap to have Bond chasing smugglers for the entire film - with a dash of nuclear bomb disarming at the end for extra 'excitement'.

Connery is looking a bit old in this unfortunate remake of Thunderball. It's paced better than the original but the cast and the outfits make it seem more like a spoof.

A rather drab plot mainly supported by lots of chase and fight scenes. Carole Bouquet - though pretty - delivers an odd performance, alternating between a reasonably genuine smile and a completely deadpan expression and performance

Unfortunately, invincible Jaws from The Spy Who Loved Me is back and more ridiculous than ever. The space battle is also laughable and reminiscent of the ocean fight in Thunderball.

An action hero opening, and an odd super-henchman named Jaws - redeemed by an eminently Bond-worthy nemesis.

A reasonably good yet ordinary opponent for Bond. Solid film, though the countdown ending is a bit melodramatic.

Jane Seymore is one of the best Bond girls, and Roger Moore plays a good 007. Unfortunately this film just makes him a glorified DEA agent with some gadgets, which isn't a bit disappointing.

Nice to see Sean Connery back, but for most of the plot the enemy seems rather pedestrian compared to Dr. No or You Only Live Twice. The explosion effects are also exceptionally bad - even for a movie this old.

It's nice to see Diana Rigg, but George Lazenby isn't even close to the charm and sophistication of Sean Connery as Bond. The clothes are utterly terrible, along with a very odd ending and an overall too lengthy film.
